Margaret is a local entrepreneur and cabinet maker having enjoyed 20 years experience in the manufacturing industry. Her passion comes from the support of her husband Gulam and her 3 children. Margaret opened her own company, CTR Manufacturing, in the middle of the recession in 2009 offering kitchen carcasses to the trade. A couple of years later she expanded by opening a second company, Grand Designs Kitchens & Bedrooms Ltd, and has gone from strength to strength in the interim. Having been an apprentice cabinet maker herself in her teens Margaret is a strong advocate for apprenticeships in Ireland, "I personally support apprenticeships and believe they are a great start in life". In 2017, Margaret was nominated and accepted as Ambassador for Apprenticeships in Ireland. This led to the LYIT asking Margaret to travel to Brussels earlier this year to represent Ireland for the Apprentice Alliance program throughout Europe and will travel to Vienna in November as Ireland's representative for the vocational skills week at the request of the European Commission.
Margaret has also won numerous awards both locally and nationally for her foresight and perseverance in business including Business Woman of the Year, Woman of Vision, Best Start up Company and Business Excellence.
Grand Designs Kitchens & Bedrooms Ltd was established in 2011 and has since grown from strength to strength earning a reputation for quality, reliability and after sales. Our premises on the Termonfeckin Road in Drogheda houses our factory-showroom where we design and manufacture an extensive range of bespoke kitchen, bedroom and lounge furniture. Most recently we have branched into complete home refurbishments transforming your home or property from top to bottom. We have a full team of qualified, specialist cabinet makers and fitters and a full spectrum of trade subcontractors including plumbers, electricians and tilers allowing us to manage your project from the initial concept to the complete finished result.
